Feelings of Tenderness

Hello, dear Readers!

I’ve done a terrible job of writing here for the past several months (much less, writing well). However, now that I’m on Winter break, and I feel a bit more settled into life than I had been previously feeling, I thought I’d offer you something a bit more intimate than I’ve been writing of late. Don’t get your hopes up too high, because this is going to be a short one, but I was looking over my notes on Brennan Manning’s Ruthless Trust, and I came across a highlighted bit that I felt moved by. Manning wrote:

“I found it unthinkable that God might have tender feelings for me,” (14).

I rather struggle with that myself, but perhaps this holiday season we all might do well to cultivate a little ruthless trust of our God.

Much love, and Merry Christmas Eve!
