I Think This All the Time at Work…

“Leave me a supply of biscuit, a gun, some powder for killing some kids or maybe to use in my own defense, also a pickaxe so that I can make myself some sort of shelter in case you should be delayed in returning to fetch me.”

    • It is a great book! It’s taken me forever to get going on it, but I had tears in my eyes as I read about Dantes being able to provide $ for those who had stood by him during his misfortune… regardless of how ineffective they were. I also spent a good, long while pondering the tragedy of never being able to reveal his face to them as their benefactor.

  1. What can you say to a quote like that?! The Count of Monte Cristo is just completely awesome (and weird). I have read this book several times over the years. The first time was in high school (9th grade maybe?). It is so good!! Your quote from it on your blog hooked me…I knew we were kindred spirits when I saw it 🙂 You are making me want to read it again! It’s been a few years…

Hope your spring break is fun!
