For Katie Thou didst cover Thyself with light as with a garment and stretch out the heavens like a curtain and lay the foundations of the earth. For Katie Thou didst appoint the moon for seasons and the sun knoweth his going down. For Katie Thou didst make every beast of the earth after his kind and every herb bearing seed and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree. For Katie prophet wrote and psalmist sang. For Katie holy men spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
For Katie Christ died, and the redemptive benefits of that death are by the miracle of His present life perpetuated forever, as efficacious now as on the day He bowed His head and gave up the ghost. And when He arose the third day it was for Katie; and when He poured out upon the disciple the promised Holy Spirit it was that He might continue in Katie the work He had been doing for Katie since the morning of the creation.
*This is a song that I found in Tozer’s God’s Pursuit of Man. I don’t know anything about the song, but it seemed like just the reminder I’ve needed these past few weeks. Feel free to replace my name with yours and reread the song thinking about all of the things God does, did, and will do for each of us.
