I’ve never been very good at trusting. I like to make plans, and control everything that happens in my life. That’s why it struck me as I was reading Voyage of the Dawn Treader that Eustace said the following as he looked out at the horizon:
“Crazy, you know… sailing on and on into that with no idea what we may get to,” (481).
But that’s what life is, isn’t it? Every moment, we move as best we can toward the horizon, trusting that God will guide us safely to harbor.
